1950s IWC 18KYG Cal.89

IWC(インターナショナル・ウォッチ・カンパニー)

Cal.89 was a long-selling product in the history of IWC. 36mm diameter of the case is near the largest diameter of all Cal.89. The size has been increased in order to give torque to the escapement swing and to strengthen the magnetic resistance.
Cal.89 is the first IWC "Center-second" wristwatch and highly regarded as a masterpiece. It was designed in 1946 by Albert Pellaton, famous for inventing the Pellaton self-winding watch.
