1950s Tudor Rolex Prince Oysterdate, Big Rose Ref.7966
通称Big Rose(日本ではデカバラ)と呼ばれる、文字盤にチュードル騎士団の薔薇紋章を冠したヴィンテージのチュードル・プリンス・オイスターデイトです。
この華々しいデカバラを冠したデザインがたまりません♪ セルフワインディングは自動巻のことです。当時はオートマチックという言葉がありませんでしたので、この言葉を聞くと年配の時計技師は懐かしむようです。全体をシルバートーンで仕立ててあるのでオイスターケースでありながらフォーマルで落ち着いた印象です。純正のリベットブレスも当時は華奢で、この雰囲気に似合っています。
ETA2462を搭載していますので1950年代になります。穴石数が、17石、21石、25石と3パターンあったようですが、チュードルはハイジュエル（穴石数が多い）しか見たことがないので多分コストを掛けていたんだと思います。
こちらは既に弊社でメンテナンス済みですのでセミメンテナンス期間でお渡し可能です。風防、巻き芯、ゼンマイ、ガスケット、天真、リバーサーホイール交換済み。ステンレスベゼルのヒビはロウ付け修復しました。
チュードルは、ロレックス系列の時計メーカーで、その部品を流用してきた歴史が長かったこともあり、世間ではロレックスのセカンドブランド的なイメージが定着してました。しかし、そもそもの基本理念は本家とまったく違っています。特にこのビンテージとされる時代の製品には、ロレックスでは試みれなかった遊び心とビジュアルを先行視した前衛的な感性を感じます。ロレックスとは兄妹関係みたいな、別物と捉えるべきではないかと思います

A vintage Tudor Prince Oyster Date with the Tudor Knights rose emblem on the dial, commonly known as the "Big Rose". The design with this gorgeous big rose is irresistible. "Self-winding" means automatic. At that time, there was no word for automatic transmission, so it seems that older watchmakers miss it when they hear this word. The whole is made in silver tone, so it gives a formal and calm impression. The genuine rivet bracelet was also delicate at that time and suits this atmosphere.
Since it is equipped with ETA2462, it will be in the 1950s. It seems that there were 3 patterns of 17 stones, 21 stones, and 25 stones, but Tudor had only seen high jewels (the number of hole stones is large), so I think that it was probably costly.
This has already been maintained by us, so it can be delivered during the semi-maintenance period. Windshield, winding core, mainspring, gasket, balance staff, River sir wheel have been replaced. The cracks on the stainless bezel were brazed and repaired.

The association is a national institution that restores and protects British-owned cultural heritage watches and certifies national watchmakers. They are based in Upton Village, Nottinghamshire. Watch technology originated in the Kingdom of the United Kingdom, and even today, about 90% of those who have a qualification as a watch engineer in the United Kingdom have BHI certification or are in the master's program aiming for acquisition.
